My Role
This was the first time that Stagecoach had introduced a seat booking system across any of its transport websites. My task was to work closely with the technical and management teams in Manchester to establish the business and user requirements.
I was responsible for the following:
-
An audit of established seat booking systems available in the market
-
Identifying every user case and entry point into the system
-
Provisioning disabled customers
-
Future proofing to roll-out in the UK, Europe and Canada.
-
Enabling the user to rebook cancelled trips
-
Interpreting schematics of bus layouts and creating a simplified version for a user
-
Expansion for large numbers of passengers
-
Creating detailed wireframes, user flow and business logic
-
Identifying every possible user scenario (of which there were many!) and ensuring that each of those user flows had a conclusion.
